About
In the Beginning
Albert Lucio, Jr. carved his first five-gallon bucket of sand in 2005 after a friend told him about a local sculpting event on the beach. A week later, Albert competed in that event, C-101 C-Sculptures, a grueling 25-hour straight-through-the-night challenge for which he was woefully underprepared for.
After recovering from dehydration and the worst sunburn he had ever experienced, Albert dedicated himself to his new passion. 18 years later, he has felt grateful to learn from and work alongside the most amazing sculptors from around the world that he is proud to call friends.
Albert enjoys incorporating symbolism into his art and often hides subtle clues for viewers to find and explore, adding depth and intrigue to his creations. have meet so many amazing human beings traveling to various project and competitions across the U.S., Canada and abroad.
